Two moves.

From Coach Isaac.

Okay, so. The first thing I teach every one of my players, boys and girls, is: don't give in to trash talk. Next time someone trash-talks you, one of two moves. Nothing else.

MOVE 1: IGNORE IT.

That's the best defense against trash talk there is. When you think good, positive things about yourself, and you're sure of who you are, you don't react, and you don't get offended. Because there's no truth in it.

MOVE 2: TELL THEM "FAIR ENOUGH." AND LAUGH.

Tell them they're right. They get confused and don't know where to go from there. For example, if someone says my legs are too white, I tell them I tried tanning, but it didn't work out.

MY OWN "FAIR ENOUGH," IN MY OWN WORDS

What you think about yourself is what counts.
